there was a liquid coming out of her behind though, this wasn't addressed. i've seen the yellow stuff before but never this liquid.
nono it was just liquid as if a human were urinating
do chameleons pee? only today have i seen my chameleon do what i imagined was peeing, it was very early and clear liquid was coming out of her behind, this IS pee right? and not some kind of cyst or something
get one more (atleast) pieces of carton, they're not getting the shelter they thrive off of.
another thing too that i learned from some other dubia handlers:
shred your carrots and mist them very lightly and place them in the container, the less they have to work for their food the bigger...
oh man fl chams is amazing. my chameleon was a total pig straight out of that store lol!
i got my female cham at 2~ months old and she's 1 year old now with amazing appetite. she'll eat anything in her "sights"
shedding could influence dietary behaviors; but the poster above me has very good points that he brings up.
you can return your reptisun for a smaller one (assuming you purchased it recently) focus on 5.0 not 10 (this is mostly for desert reptiles like tortoises or bearded dragons)
i remember you mentioning how you were trying to handle her every day.
this is why, chameleons are ANTISOCIAL. handling should only be their choice not yours. you can take her our to free range, but even then not often.
bahaha.
tough situation
kill it; give it away; sell it; keep it and love it!
please don't let it starve.
it's pretty harsh. i say kill it only because suffering isn't worth it.
baha
i know nothing of panthers, i'm more of a veiled guy. But i know better than to underestimate their size!
If you say that they don't grow that big then i'll take your word for it.
but seriously where are you OP lol
LOL
i meant the red could simulate the same amount of visibility.
and if you read the original post it said that the avatar was a 10 year old holding the chameleon, so half of a 10 year olds hand? i'd say 3~ inches
i hate how the original poster isn't saying much! lol!
it's a baby. i have to assume it'll grow in there no?
it looks like an 18x18
i could be wrong, i'd love to be wrong lol
anyway, the red light could be used to maintain the same heat overnight, and the red will simulate moonlight. it's obviously not completely dark at night in the wild.
you draw up some good points, i hadn't noticed the red bulb. theres nothing wrong with using it as a night bulb though.
a day bulb is a necessity though.
that cage is very small 8 inches will be half the cage. I'd say that 4-6 inches would be fine aslong as the chameleon isn't in direct...
beautiful setup, use the dish as a vegitation dish. chop up some celery some lettuce, collard greens, even some fruit!
my chameleon loved eating it... also mix in some worms to draw her/his attention
