Do you have any pictures of the tube? The one you want is GE Silicone 1 (100% silicone) make sure it does not say mildew resistant as that stuff will leech chemicals. Also let it cure fully before you fill the dripper with water.
The water should be fine, Ozone degrades fairly quickly in water and becomes oxygen. It is a type of filtration which oxidizes heavy metals and contaminants in water and by the time it gets to you there should not be any ozone left in the water. If you are worried about it just let it stand...

I was mainly asking about the plant and possible leaf ingestion because it is a member of the nightshade family. With the lighting in a chameleon setup the plant would not have enough light to produce fruit.
