some of the used cages I see have rust around the locking areas. I guess when you mist open the door and mist directly inside. That would somewhat minimize the chances of getting rust. screws, bolts, hinges... try not to mist over them... hope that helps.. hows everything doing.. did you see...

You have to mist more often and make sure he is drinking plenty of water. Sunken eyes indicate that your cham is dehydrated.
