    Powder coated steel safety?

I saw a powder coated steel mesh notice board at Ikea… SÖDERGARN Memo board with magnets, white, 23 ½x23 ½ " (60x60 cm) Would it be safe to use on top of the reptibreeze on risers to raise up lights? Would the heat cause damage to the powder coating and/or unhealthy fumes to the chams? 🤔🤔 Thanks!

Love your updated Care Summaries! When you refer to a “cloud cover” light during the wet season, is there a specific light you can recommend? Thanks for all you do for the chameleon community.

    Enclosure too dark.

Thank you for your feedback. The picture makes it look much brighter than it really is. I did add another LED panel and that makes a huge difference but I’m just not sure if that’s too bright for him.

    Enclosure too dark.

It took alot of time and effort to do this☹️ Damn…why didn’t I think of that! I don’t have it in me to take it apart and redo. That really sucks. Thanks for taking the time to point it out. I do have 2 other XL reptibreeze enclosures. The reason I set up a new one for Willy was to give me time...

    Enclosure too dark.

Maybe I’ll just try to find a lighter coloured plant to replace the dark green white flag one🤔.

    Enclosure too dark.

I just set up a new enclosure for Willy my 10 month old male Ambilobe Panther. It seems very dark. All lighting is raised 3’“ above the screen. He has his UVB, basking fixture and a Sansi LED grow light. Is it ok to add another Sansi or would that be too bright for him? If that’s not...

    White “haze” on side

Update…So I’ve made the suggested changes to hydration… —Misting for 3 minutes at 6:30 pm with only UVB on and then 1 minute at 4 am (he’s not drinking at the 6:30 pm misting so should I continue this misting?) —Fogging continuous from 11 pm to 5 am. —Dripper for about 1 hour in early afternoon...

I’ve switched up the hydration schedules and see if that solves the humidity problem along with the over hydration and, if not, then I’ll get the HVAC checked.

    White “haze” on side

Duct work goes from the furnace in the basement to this room and it is not a long run. Got me wondering if something is interfering with the flow through that duct🤔. I’ll be updating this post in a week in terms of both over hydration and the humidity. Thanks for your input!!

    White “haze” on side

Indeed it turns out to be a little more in-depth than it appears. I just finished reading all I could about over hydration😵‍💫 and my head is spinning. Thank you for all the legwork you did on this topic with Petr and Bill. I can say that, after Ricki’s poop/urate today, he is , without...
