If the eggs are not fertilized, they will go bad in about a weeks time, there's no mistaking it. They will turn yellowish and get all fuzzy. If they look good for a few weeks than they are more than likley good.
I picked up a female ambilobe from Drew (Chameleon Nation), she's a real beauty. I saw some pygmy's for the first time at one booth but came home with just the panther. All in all it was a good show, Harry and Drew always have great chams and are always happy to make time to chat!
Whatever you decide, it won't be your only chameleon if your anything like me. It all starts with one veiled, and before you know it, you will have 5 or 6 veileds and 4 or 5 panthers...at least that's what happened to me. Good luck and enjoy the cham experience!
Hi, you have a few other issues to be concerned about besides the light. Your cham should not be in a glass tank but a screened enclosure with some height to it, as chams need the vertical space to climb. Also the substrate can cause issues for feeding and cleaning. The bottom should be bare...
Hi Guys,
Drew had some amazing chams at the show on the weekend. I piked up a male veiled from him to go with one of my baby girls I kept from the last clutch. His panthers were outstanding! Nice work Drew.
I've had many successful veiled matings by placing the female in the males cage. But I had to place the male in the females cage for my panthers. If she's ready it should work, as the male is always ready either way.
