i keep my jackson's in a planted vivarium with substrate and will never go back to all screen for him.....living in new england i needed a higher humidity enclosure and the viv works perfectly. I have had zero problems with substrate and feeders, he cup and hand feeds mostly.

yea my guys have slept in some odd places, from your post i pictured your cham not being able to keep his grip and sleeping precariously!

if she is constantly keeping the eye shut i would be worried, but chams do weird stuff cleaning their eyes sometimes. there are some misting techniques i've heard of for this but nothing i have done myself...

no sleeping upside down is NOT normal at all. If you just received this animal i would contact the seller immediately and let them know of the issue. A healthy chameleon will not do this. If i may ask where did you purchase this animal from? also some pictures would really help if you want...

the little one definitely could have the same thing, i would take pictures of the dead female and the other females tongue problem and contact the breeder immediately. These animals sound like they were sent in terrible health and the shipping process probably only made these problems worse...

i dont see any problems with putting it up behind the cage, i actually covered up both sides and back of my old reptibreeze to keep the humidity up for my cham. I don't see this being an issue at all.
