That’s actually amazing lol, thank you so much! Also what are some ways you’ve propped up your light a little higher? I was thinking maybe the wooden clothes pins or something like that around the light to raise it a bit.
I do have it on a timer to shut off halfway through his daylight cycle but sometimes if it’s real hot outside it’ll go above 80 at the top of the enclosure. I have only noticed him gaping under the lamp so I’m almost convinced that’s it.
I’ve seen people post it but I now have a few to share with you guys. This is the progression of growth and his cute little tail since my sister first saved him from the crackheads and I decided to start the learning process for him.
I have a 50w bulb, could it be that since he’s getting taller that my heating bulb is the reason for this? Does the saliva and gaping help a chameleon cool down when it’s too hot? I swear he be acting different when I’m watching, I need a WiFi camera so I can stalk him without bothering him. My...
It’s been three days since I noticed that Chameleonaire was gaping. He was under his lamp when I did notice that day. I haven’t had the most time to watch him but was able to observe for a little before and after work. It’s now my weekend and I haven’t noticed a lot more untill I walked up to...
Second day of kind of keeping an eye on him a little before and after work. I haven’t seen him gaping again or presenting any other signs of an RI. Not sure what he was doing that morning but it scared me lol. Thank you everyone who replied and gave me some insight on stuff. This page is awesome...
I know that when his lights turn on and my ceiling light in the room is on that he will react to the reflection, I shall do some more observing. I didn’t notice anything this morning before I went to work. Thanks Beman.
I
the humidity in the daytime hangs in the 40s sometimes lower 50s if I water all my plants and stuff, and I do not have a pc fan, only one that blows air into the room I have Chameleonaire in.
I wouldn’t say it’s the most cleanest, I try to spot clean throughout my the week picking up his poop and stuff. Deep cleaning like once every other week or so.
I didn’t hear anything when I was watching him, I’ll have a little more time to look tonight when I get home. I think I’m going to leave the fogger out of the mix for a while to see.
He’s in a hybrid enclosure, I have a fan that blows air into the room most days and even at night I have an evaporatorative air cooler to help get temps down at night. I’ve seen the small ones you can attach to an enclosures screen, maybe I should invest?
today I woke up and noticed Chameleonaire was gaping. It was really cool night last night got around 62 in my room. Had his fogger gping last night and two other nights in the last week. His ambient temps in there were 72 towards the top and 66 towards the bottom and will heat up some more thru...
