Hi Landon, as others have said I would add thinner branches, also make sure your chameleon has a spot to perch and hide, my little one loves using his hiding spots so I can't see him unless I look for him, not as fun for you but overall they are happier and sometimes more brave with more hiding...
Get a "dumb" power source and try that, if they work on the dumb source that you know is working, then it's the strip. Manufacturers usually have a 1 yr warranty if you can show you got it within the last year
