So I was just thinking while looking at a safe plant list for chameleons . . .
I have an oil diffuser which I don't use very much due to my fear of it being unsafe for chameleons, but I just thought, are plants that are safe for chameleons okay to be diffused? For example, on the safe chameleon...
Have you checked out this care sheet? It is probably the most reliable one:
https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/veiled/
That care sheet states everything from lighting to plants, so it should help you get a good start. If you have already read it and you just want some extra...
I have been in this situation before, leaving for a couple of days without timers and such. Your cham will definitely be fine two days without food, just make sure when you get back you give him a little extra food if you are concerned. Veileds are tougher than most people realize, but you never...
I have never kept Jacksons, but I do know about some of your equipment questions. As far as the enclosure kits go, the only useful things in the it are the cage, the light fixture (definitely not the bulbs, they are bad quality and burnt out immediately), and maybe the plastic plant addition. I...
I would just put them inn a warm place and see if they move at all. I do know that some people keep their bugs in the fridge to slow them down, but I don't think they would survive any temperatures below freezing for an extended period of time. Did the temperature actually dip below freezing?
-Tries to eat my fingers if I move them around too much *yum*
-hates hornworms
-loves dubia roaches more than she loves me
-tries to get into the roach bin cuz she loves them
-doesn't like being out of her cage too much
-hates the mister because it startles her sometimes
It is not always a good idea to put something in the same enclosure with a cham, as chams are very territorial. It depends on your chameleon, but usually they are willing to attack anything that comes into their personal space, including big ol' scary humans.
It is a risk that you will put your...
I saw a thread about pesky gnats/fruit flies a couple weeks ago, and I just stumbled upon a few possible solutions to the problem that some of us have with our plants. I have one plant that is particularly bad, but I do not want to put chemicals on it for the protection of my cham, obviously.
I...
I will try it. She isn't gravid to my knowledge. I think she may be in fact be sterile, because in her juvenile days she had a rough start and her growth was seriously delayed. She is almost 2 years old, and only a couple of months ago did she get her mature blues and yellows. I have no idea...
I have been noticing a little bit of extra chub at the bottom of my female veileds neck, and I am worried that it is gular edema. She has been getting calcium regularly with every feeding and calcium with d3 around twice a month. There should be a picture attached, I apologize for the cruddy...
I used some white wine, but the method didn't attract all of those little buggers. They are so irritating, flying around everywhere like they own the room, which my cham CLEARLY already owns  I would love to try some of those carnivorous plants. Where can I buy some? I tried the venus fly...
