I think what's happening here is that he is extremely confused because of your light set up. He's getting warmth on one side and no uvb then uvb on the other (also no place to perch under the "sun" light) but no warmth. I would suggest putting your uvb diagonally across your cage then get rid of...
Yeah man, i wouldnt use anything else at this point. They are great products and worth every penny. Here is a picture of the top of my enclosure how i chained a couple together. Very simple and not really an eye sore
I have 2 foot deep and if i tilt it up it barrreellyyy reaches the back wall which is fine with me because i utilize a feeding tray that is attached to the back wall. I too am considering another nozzle on all of my enlosures because one is fine(ish) but it takes a little more work to get...
Mainly Dehydration from lack of proper misting and constant hot temps in such a small enclosure. Probably already had signs of mbd. He was doomed from the start in my opinion, even if the Dehydration didn't get him the lack of proper husbandry would have in the end. Oh, And the feeders ate him...
I have an abundance of foliage in my enclosures and if you set it up properly you can scrap the dripper. After on a set schedule my chams ignored the drippers completely and just drank off the leaves when needed. I live in a very dry climate and a custom built set up with effitient drainage so i...
And yes Megan is right! That's another wonderful thing about female Jacksons is they do not need a laying bin for eggs because they don't lay eggs! They are special creatures! Female Jacksons are probably my favorite!
I have a Jacksons (she was my first chameleon) and i was super worried about this at first then tried to do a bunch of research which it is apparently difficult to find anything female specific for the species (i think from your picture it's a female?) But what I've gathered is they kind of grow...
Also! Don't forget, if using a probe thermometer, make sure you measure about 3 to 4 inches above his basking spot. I've noticed a lot of people wondering why their chams are too hot and they are measuring from where there feet are on their basking spot and not their backs or veils etc. A few...
Regular old bulbs work perfect. Just make sure you don't burn the dude. If it's touching the screen on top i like to put some sort of spacer in between the light and the screen. I prefer the clear or blue tinted plant lights as it looks a little nicer. Good luck!
I have a veiled chameleon that i got about six months ago and he is an absolute menace any time i go into his zone. You can try a number of things that will help as others have stated. You can use food as a bargaining tool for some, I've also started just putting my hand inside of the enclosure...
It doesn't seem t be bent but more of a "dent" haha and that explains what he does perfectly "he doesn't have reverse" he gets his head stuck then forcefully pops out the other end eventually

So within the last two weeks (during his last shed) my male veiled has formed this sort of "notch" in his casque. I have a picture from the 25th of November I will add and one from today (December 8th). I have seen him get his head stuck on a vine a few times and he just forces his way through...
