Patience is the only way...don't try to force it, as you found out it just scares them. It took I think three months for Claude to let me handle him...now the little punk won't stay in his cage! lol Just remember not to do anything to fast or aggressive, trust is huge with these guys. :)
That is awesome! Same thing going on here with my Montezuma baby...the way he is eating, I def need to start breeding crickets! Glad to here your guy is doing well!! :D
hehe ok one more comment...I keep looking through the pics...the little man in pic #5 is gonna be a stunning little guy...and all attitude!! I love the stance...he was born knowing he was something special! :D
I have 2 at the moment:
Claude M. De Chameleon (named for Claude Monet)
Salvador D. Sambava (named for Salvador Dali)
The next one may very well have to be either Vincent or Pablo....
Gonna stick with the art theme
 That was quite the introduction! Welcome...this forum is a lot of fun and there are a lot of interesting ppl here! Sounds like you have quite a bit of experience with different things, nice to have you!! :D Make sure to get some pics of your critters up...some of the members require...
I think I want one!!!! SO pretty already! Congrats! They are a great looking bunch!! Which of your pairs are these ones from??
Edit: um yeah on second look I would take any one of those males - the first one, the second, the 4th, 5th...you get the idea...gift wrap wont be necessary... : )
Well Drew, I don't have an opinion other than the odd ball babies I have seen (that caused all the drama last summer) were freaking beautiful! You have beautiful animals, and if you ever have any you don't want, send them to me, I will take them!! I love the unusual!! :D
This is what my plan was too Ace! I just got over run waiting to get Salvador...if he wont eat them I quit! lol I just saw another thread where they changed gutload and suddenly the cham loved the dubia again, so I might experiment!
:(Nope, he had just started trying them then he quit, he ate a few then started spitting them out, now he wont even look at them. He only eats crickets well. I have tried everything - butterworms are a no go, silkworms - nope, superworms I am still trying, he will take hornworms:D...he is really...
If picky would eat those I would...got any extra hornworms?! I have not gotten him to even try a silk...I have wated a TON of money on feeders...butterworms are a no go as well...currently have 250 superworms he has no interest in either...
Is shipping these things hard? This may be an...
:mad::mad:Grrrr....you ppl with chams that will eat dubia!!! I get so mad when I see these small chams taking on those big dubia!! Claude wont touch them...no matter what I do! He did a few times now, he wont even look at em! Spit one out once, that was kind of funny... Hopefully Salvador...
Ok this might sound dumb but I have way too many adult males (and females but at least they lay eggs!!) what do you guys do with them?!?! I feel bad just killing them...but my adult cham refuses to eat them, besides the fact that they are too big for him. They are seriously everywhere!
