I don’t know what to make of this but it really scared me seeing it. There are some free crickets in his cage from this morning but I don’t think he had just eaten one but I can’t be positive. I’m really nervous about if he’s gonna be ok though.

I dumped some spring water in there at one point thinking distilled water is not what they would drink in the wild but would this effect my drip? Maybe I’m creating a problem.

Yah might wanna change that out just for reference I had my compact fluorescent for 3 days while waiting for my Arcadia T5 and it was the zoomed one and I got a .02 uvb rating at basking 5 inches under the screen. And a panther should be sitting at around 3.0. So they are way underpowered

All depends on the chameleon species but one thing is generally for all of them and that is to have the middle of the cage full of plants so that they can hide from you and the light. I’ll post some pics of mine it’s a medium as I’ll be upgrading to a dragon strand cage next month but I even...

Yah this is why. Mine is a single bulb reflector puts off a lot more uvb than a multiple bulb reflector. This is the problem and why we were having differences of opinions.

If I’m not wrong I think you can do this with a decent dslr camera, it’s all about exposure and not getting to much white light I think at least. Maybe this person just got lucky but it looks like they know what their doing. My girlfriend knows all about it I’m just throwing out a guess.
