Thanks, it wasn't something I planned. I had them both out while working on the enclosures and the male ran right over, they were on separate plants on the patio lol. She showed no signs of stress or flight so I left them alone for a few days.
Time will tell.
This is why I don't take many Malthe shots, he really doesn't like people or cameras lol. So I try not to disturb them that often. The female is seldom in a position to get a good shot of her.

You could if working with a good importer. Some exporters are willing to give partial or full refunds to the importer. It all depends on who you deal with.
It seems that automated systems, while making life easier, always have a story lol. I'm glad mine is outside. The only problem I have had with it was a check valve go stuck and didn't fill. So the chams went without water for a day.
Nice, it would be fun to incorporate it with a digital dimmer and some comp control. I have been trying to decide if I want to adopt some of the fish lighting control for the chams. My reef light even has an app I can control it with the phone lol.
There will be other chams out there. Do you have a setup ready to go? If not I would highly suggest it. It's always better to have one ready to go than have to scramble to set something up while you house your cham in the shower or whatever short term solution.

I have always loved the montane chams. At some point we won't be able to get any chams, I don't see them doing well in their home countries so everyone that can should be working with the ones they love to try and establish solid breeding groups here. Keep up the great work.
A laying box for veilds is always a good idea. I believe the dragon strand one can be moved somewhat easily so you can wait on putting it in. Some of the other veilds folk on here will probably be of more help.
