    Eggs Hatching, is THIS NORMAL???

Thanks for your insight and reassurance. When we get home I'll get Jared to check what stage those embryos are at. I agree that this is likely NOT a moisture issue, since none has been added since March ;) We were inspired to try four different vairables with this clutch; in-ground, above...

    Eggs Hatching, is THIS NORMAL???

When they rupture is it possible that they are still alive? Would pulling out the goo kill them or I wonder again are they are already done for? Unfortunately/fortunately w/e we are heading to the Bahamas for a long weekend tomorrow, with only a pet sitter visiting once a day for the...

    Eggs Hatching, is THIS NORMAL???

Thanks for your responses. Hello! What leads you to believe that swelled prematurely due to hydration? Because it has only been 6mo incubation time? They were HUGE and then began to shrink. Also they were never observed sweating. I'm just a bit worried about my incubation technique now, as...

    Eggs Hatching, is THIS NORMAL???

Sorry guys, earlier I was pre-occupied at work. The eggs were just incubated at the ambient room temp of the house which was around the mid 70's ;)

    Eggs Hatching, is THIS NORMAL???

Dude it's not even a Chameleon coming out that I'm aware of (again I apologise for the camera quality). More of like some sort of MASS?? Jared says that that part isn't the chameleon, but their is movement from the egg, as far as the goo ball getting bigger?!?! I'll try to post one additional...

    Eggs Hatching, is THIS NORMAL???

Today my boyfriend called to say that something funny was hatching out of our FIRST expected panther eggs that were laid at the end of March. We had been anticipating them to hatch, as they had shrunken in size.... (notice the size difference in the two eggs) For the entire incubation, they...

    Melleri on Craigslist Dallas

Thanks for the clarification. Then all our dreams have come true of having chameleonariums! I think only few people with brevs and such use glass cages, as it is discouraged :D Did you ever hear back from her about the Melleri?

    Candida??

I'm sorry to hear about your girl. Hopefully she will make a speedy recovery. Sunlight is sure to play as a positive factor throughout this event! Though I have never treated a fungal infection as you describe, I would assume that a topical antibiotic would do nothing but help heal it, and I'm...

    colour dictionary

Christina has something similar for Melleri on her Melleri discovery site. She lists pictures that represent stressed and normal moods here: http://www.melleridiscovery.com/index.html Then this chart can be used to help identify the possible causes of stress in your melleri...

    gravid determinations

IMO observations of weight gain is the key sign for detecting pregnancy. Lets assume you weigh your female weekly, and you notice in one week she has gained nearly 10g  That significant of an increase in weight would lead me to directly believe that she is gravid :D

    Numbers?

Naomi, that is correct :D I'd just like to expand. 1.2.5 = 1 male, 2 females, and 5 who's sex hasn't been determined. You usually see the third column when people are working with babies, or species that are more difficult to sex like the Melleri.
