Yeah, nothing like what I'm experiencing though. Everything I read makes it sound like he should be dead by now but somehow he just keeps on living to gape another day.
If anyone has some free time and sees this could they find any threads like what I'm experiencing? I haven't found any in all of my searching. They all seem to progress in one way or another whereas his problem seems to kinda just hang around and is worse some days and better others.
Yeah idk. Vet I've been seeing seems ok but they don't seem like chameleon specialists. Idk what a new vet would do differently but I'm also not a vet.
Not sure if anyone cares but here's an update. He's still alive and gaping. I finished the full round of Amikacin and it did not fully cure him. After it started coming back it seemed to be getting worse until I started reptaid. I have a third antibiotic from the vet that I got after he started...
@janjan20 He seems a bit lethargic and sick so I was wondering if I could maybe try a half dose or quarter dose of reptaid? I don't think that would be too overwhelming to his body right? Hoping it might perk him up and give him the energy to get up in the mornings on his own.
So as of now his RI seems to be gone. His main issue is he doesn't get up in the morning. He just stays there cold and half sleeping. If I pick him up and put him in his basking spot or take him outside he gets going and is pretty active the rest of the day.
Is it a bad idea to aim the fog at him? Cause I don't feel like jerry-riggin his cage rn and if I aim the fog at him, it stays in the cage, doesn't require tons of humidity elsewhere, and I can turn it way down probably.
