I built my own using some nice wood. It is also much bigger than the typical size cages that you can get. My biggest is 72"x48"x48" and my guy loves it! If you are looking for something that looks really nice that you can put in your livening room, then I highly recommend that you build one...
It sounds like she was interrupted. I would leave her alone for a day or so, especially if she is just dropping them. When my females begin searching for a spot to lay or are digging, I leave them alone until I am sure that she is done. As for clutch size, it can very a lot. I have seen...
So you bred her and then realized that you didn't want to deal with the babies? Why? Who is the male?
I'll take her off your hands if you really get into a tight spot, but I will not pay you very much. PM me if need be, but you should try to keep posts like this in the classified section.
Life is tough when you are the size of a bug. I do wonder why the little guy was so close to the big one. Usually they run away. Hopefully the camera crew didn't make it happen...
You still need much more. You want branches all the way up and front and back. She should be able to use all of the available space. Also, what is that bowl for? How are you getting her water?
I like the looks of the second cage that you drew. Linear UVB bulbs work better (provide more UVB rays) and they distribute it over a larger area.
That hanging cage looks good on paper, but I also think that it will be more complicated than you think.
Most of us water our chameleons with...
Jacksons have very different requirements than veileds. They require much more water and lower temperatures as well. Think dense mountain rain forest vs desert trees.
Do you have a picture? Like Action Jackson said, I too, have never seen a Jackson with the outward appearance of MBD. Given the vets knowledge of light, this is most likely an incorrect diagnosis.
Are there any other symptoms? If he has excess mucus or bubbles or if you can hear clicking when he breaths, then it is probably a respiratory infection. Apart from that, I can't really help. Hopefully one of the vets on here will chime in.
OK. That is all fine and well, but it does create a few more issues. You will need to hang the lights from the ceiling or figure some other way of having them on him (unless this is outdoors). You may also find it difficult to provide water to him, so I would recommend having a large water...
In that case, I would try shorter showers. Buying the distillation equipment and using the energy to boil the water yourself is probably much more wasteful than just dumping out the liter or so of water.
I think you would be better off making one that you can put the potted plants in. That would give you more space and allow for more plant growth. I would also recommend a flat top as it makes it much easier for the ruble florecent lighting. Additionally, I find that my guys prefer to cruise...
What!! Where do you put your clothes, jackets, shoes, outdoor activity gear etc.? You don't have a closet at all, or just one that you are willing to house roaches in?
Oh, and my breeders are in a dark bin and feeders are in clear. They will breed in both, but the dark has been more...
I disagree. Provided that they are CB, carpets are just as easy, maybe even more so, than Panthers. They are a little more shy and not as easily tamed, but they are a very hardy cham. I believe that she wanted a small chameleon as space was a concern.
