I am a total noob at this and I have other pets too but to me my chameleon is less work than my koi pond. :) Right now I have a basement winter pond set up for them to move them to (tomorrow). At least we will all be under the same roof lol.

I am wondering the same thing for where I am now. My grandparents used to live here and I know their power would go out randomly. Since my husband and I bought the house, I think the power went off once and for about 20 mins max... but I know we are going to need to get something for the winter...

That made me LOL. Today mine got a cricket, chewed twice then stopped... all while sitting down as if he was just relaxing with a cricket sticking out of his mouth (oh and one arm up too). It was too cute. I wish I had my NEX5 ready for that. :)
