ha that reminds me....
Does she go for your crickets too?
my cat LOVES to watch them hop around....Sometimes I give her one and she mashes it to death with her paws...
So I guess feeders aren't just for reptiles after all.
i must say i am a little jealous-- I almost got a mini last year--but decided to get a honda CRV instead.
I like the honda because it has more room for my dogs and stuff but i wish i could have both!
As far as roach eating contests go-- i have been in a few myself... Only I usually end...
You should try to keep the cat away from your chameleon.
The stress could eventually lead to health problems.
I know how hard it can be- as my cat likes to torment my critters as well.
I keep my chameleon in a room that I can shut my cat out of when I am not around.
She used to...
I know it's getting to be summer now, so this topic is probably a little out dated-- but I was just wondering what everyone would do with their reptiles if the power went out.
The reason i ask is because my power was out for two weeks this winter due to an ice storm, and I was not at all...
Most people say that you should spray for 20 min. (so they can clean their eyes etc.)
It's okay that it gets wet-- they like to lick water off the leaves.
Most people recommend that you let the cage dry between mistings.
I don't know how many people would recommend this--- but I usually...
Lots of people use "Great stuff" to make backgrounds for dart frog terrariums.
you have to let it "Cure" though-- otherwise it will be toxic.
i lost all my good links on the topic---
but there is a dart frog forum with lots of information on the subject. I'm sure people there would be...
Thanks for the advice.
I'll let everyone know what i come up with for the mist system. The nozzles are a good idea- i think i will try that out.
By the way--- The diagram i posted was just an example, I'm not actually planning on growing any plants in there (except maybe some pothos)...
I was thinking that pure raw honey should be okay,
then i found this article --
Honey is a sweet and viscous liquid produced by bees from the nectar of flowers . The flavor and color of the honey is largely determined by the type of flowers from which the nectar is gathered. Common flavors...
Personally, I would take her to the vet. (if she is spending half her time on the bottom)
Other people might be able to help you more if you do what Jordan suggested and tell everyone more about your husbandry.
do they have plant misters at wal-mart?
what do they look like?
I think I'll try to find one to use temporarily until I make an automatic one.
Right now I have a "mister lizard" mister that you pump- But I don't like it at all. It doesn't seem to work right, and you have to pump it...
I've been looking through other posts and articles for ideas- and here's what i'm thinking.
i'm going to build my cham a big cage for when he is an adult- So I'm thinking I could make the whole frame out of PVC -- and run one piece of pvc with holes in it across the top.
Then I should be...
i have a friend that eats mealworms... live
I think she just does it for attention, but still- you should see the look on people's faces when she pops one in her mouth at the pet store.
yes THE manny puig
that is the miracle of myspace.
get this- THE George Clinton actually Responds to my messages sometimes
makes me feel a lot cooler then I actually am
My young Veiled HATES it when I mist his enclosure. (yes i use hot water)
As soon as I start to spray he takes off and hides-
the problem is- he is so disturbed by the misting he never cleans his eyes.
do you think this could lead to infection?
any suggestions?
thanks a lot...
You could just watch him, but you will have to keep a very close eye on him.
Remember, he is a chameleon, and he could "disappear" rather quickly.
Another thing to watch out for-- birds. It would only take a second and he could be gone forever.
If your planning on taking him outside...
I really doubt that you killed her by putting her in the freezer.
even IF you did, it would have been a humane way of putting her out of her misery.
But if you were carrying her around and notice any signs of her being alive then she was probably dead.
