lets see if these open
these photos are old and look really sparse!
they are way more filled in now!
I only use live plants in my enclosures, so far haven't killed one :)
lowes and hd carry small ones. the nursery down the street from me carries large ones, all mine are just under 4ft, but i have to trim them to keep them off the ceiling.
I bet if you asked, you can order larger ones.
I think I only paid like 35 or 40 dollars. really worth every penny
let me...
my neighbors think Im a little "off" cause they always see me searching for something in my outside fr, and talking to "myself" :)
Even tho I know one of them is in there and safe, I start hunting around trying to find them!. My "fr" is a 8x5x5 hedge type tree in my yard, nice and bushy on...
I sent you a pm
but they come with mulberry leaf chow, but if you don't feed them all off in a week or 2, you will need to add more chow. both companies sell it.
make sure the water is really warm
you can also try a drop of simple saline in each eye, that too helps
nothing fancy, otc regular saline, nothing added ( no visine, or other products)
Hi, I like how you are thinking ahead
I have a suggestion regarding the pet defense mesh
before you cut it, check the uv readings, I do not know the density of this mesh, but I would hate for you to waste money on it if it doesnt allow proper uv to filter thru.
A meter is your best and most...
is he strong enough to just let him chill in your hand while you take him outside?
You should have great humidity, just watch the temps. But 30 to an hour outside is so beneficial.
If its sunny at my house they are outside 2-5 hours everyday
worms would be great for him. Mulberry farms, Great Lakes (both sponsors here) can ship them to you fast.
They only require minimum maintenence, they come with food in their cups. Follow the directions they come with, very easy.
Silks make a good staple, easy to LIGHTLY dust, horns have alot...
Mine happen to love the warm water, they actually come to the mist when it is warm. Can you imagine how it would feel if you had dry eye and no relief? mist down through the top, for 5 min, walk away, do another 5 min. He will appreciate the hydration and the chance to rinse his eyes
that should be fine, doublecheck the density of the mesh and meter the uv before your build though.
I would hate to have you build it only to find out there isnt enough uvb coming thru the mesh for your cham
mine bulge and roll their eyes around in their sockets to rinse. How much misting is he getting?
Maybe a nice long warm shower, 15/20 min will help him clean out his eyes. It's a quick, easy, inexpensive thing to try first.
I mist on a timer 5min every 2 hours, plus a dripper and hand spray...
can you take him outside? Natural sun does great things to stimulate appetite, and a host of other beneficial things.
Being outside(in a mesh cage) he will move around more, and maybe stimulate his hunting instincts.
Are your temps and lights correct? not getting proper heat also is an issue...
is your timer set to auto?
I had to set it(check to make sure the settings are on am and pm) a couple of times, frustrating I know.
But it will work!
put it on "auto", turn it to "off", set it back to "auto"
It will also have to cylcle through again, for the settings to set

Eating a little clean dirt isn't a big deal :)
Make sure it is clean and without any rocks or fertilizer/additives.
Mine all like a good chew and they get plenty of vit/minerals in their supps
