The whole no sun thing is a common misconception about Oregon. All of the bad, rainny weather stays on the west side of the Cascades. Here on the east side we get 300 days of sun a year!

Medford is a couple of hours from the High Desert where I live, Bend, Or to be exact. It is still too cold for the herps to come out, but you could check out the high desert museum or maybe the weather will be warm enough to go on a herp hunt.
