It's been quite awhile since I first posted. Since then, Mel has laid her first clutch of 52 eggs, though they were fertile. I just got a male veiled from my aunt, Spencer. He's a bit under a year old. Mel has been put in a 2'x2'x5' cage i built and Spence is in a medium ExoTerra terrarium. The...
I have a female about a year old and a male just short of a year. The male is most definitely ready to mate (robin-egg speckles), and I believe after their encounter that she is as well (being calm around the male.) The problem is, when I put the female in the male's cage, he puffed up and was...
Mine will sleep about anywhere. I know I woke up early to take her to a show, and once she came to (after at least a full 60 seconds of prodding) she got all puffed up and started hissing at me and it startled me because she never did that before. I found my work gloves and handled her with...
LOL :D I actually haven't even heard poo jokes as funny as this thread. I like the word. Let's say my mouth is full of poo when it comes to what comes out of my mouth.
Okay. This is a homemade cage Mel escaped from. Little did I know that there was an obstacle course of sorts to get out...
I wasn't so scared to see her up there since I watched her do it, but I definitely put a top on while I was out of the apartment!
I use the Mist'r Lizard. It has different attachments so you can mist, spray or drip. You just pump the handle a few times, lock the handle down, and VOILA! A constant flow of water. It usually lasts about 15 minutes, and by then Mel is done drinking and is basking.
Well this is my first blog, so I'll tell about Mel. She is my first pet, and she is unlike most chameleons in the way that she is too happy to just chill on my shoulder/neck. She also doesn't get too excited when I put my hand in her cage and pick her up (crawl on my hand).
She's about 5...
I know when I fed her it was a busy day for her. I took her to a show and it was a decent trip, so maybe that's it. And yes, they're mealworms. She usually has no problem breaking them down. At least as far as I've seen.
Alright. Not sure exactly what this is, but I found this sticking to a leaf in the cage. It has whole mealworms in it and so I think it's throw-up, but not too sure why she'd throw up.
