I haven't heard about bee's disappearing, could it be the "colony collapse" disease that FaunaBgirl mentioned?
Honey and pollen prices will rocket - hmmmmm, good plan Lara
Hi Dave,
Yeah i'd thought about that but what if there's flowers safe for humans but not chams?
I'm dangerous when i get thinking lol, got too much time on my hands at 4am :p
Anyone remember the game Frogger? Or am i just showing my age lol
I've just found it!! Yay
http://www.freeonlinegames.com/play/23.html
Been playing it for about 15 mins and can only land 3 frogs home :D
Not sure when our DST starts - can't be far off now.
I'm sure it was something to do with farmers, ( at least here in the UK anyway ) it was to give them more light to work - i may be wrong though.
It is out-dated now though. :)
I've just been thinking ( no, it didn't hurt lol ) about bee's pollen and feeding it to feeders.
Is it possible that the bee could've gathered pollen from a flower that's poisonous to chams and would it then be possible for the cham to be poisoned via the bug that ate the pollen?
Just one of...
Hi Brad,
Shiver LOVES waxworms - she gets them hand-fed. I was giving her too many as i over stocked on them but after some advice off this forum she's only getting about 2 a week now as a treat.
I only feed my waxworms bee pollen granules and some wheat bran with honey on - they go mad...
Haha, Roo - you've just reminded me of a locust the other day.
I put the last 3 in with her and about 10 mins later she was quivering - i thought there was something horribly wrong with her, then a locust appeared crawling up her back and onto her head.
She promptly flicked it off with her...
I called mine Shiver because she kinda shivers when she's prowling lol.
Other names i was considering were Boggle ( because they have boggle eyes ), Genesis ( because of the way they walk ), Rainbow (because of the colors ) and Serious ( because they just look so dam serious ).
:D
I've found that holding a dog by the scruff and growling at them works really well ( i get a few strange looks when i do this lol, great for puppies though ) then solitary confinement for a while - they hate being ignored and this is a much worse punishment than a beating.
I have used a...
Just a follow on to Curly's thread,
What's the best and funniest time with your chameleons?
I haven't had Shiver long so haven't really got any good, bad or funny tales to tell yet.
So at the moment my best time was when i bought Shiver and every single second i've owned her.
No...
Hi,
You really need to try and convince your parents to take him to the vet, is it possible to have a short family meeting and see if you can compromise with them - like asking how many chores you can do to compensate the fuel money etc.
Or do you have any friends parents who would take you...
Hi Julie, chaff is easy if you have horses - there's a few varieties available but you can get just plain alfalfa chaff.
Bee pollen can be bought in granules from health food stores, it's very expensive over here so i get mine off e-bay which is half the price of the shops.
Not sure about the...
Lol, just edited my last post - the plant guide says to remove pothos if cham is a plant eater just wondering if anyone's had any problems with them?
Hehe, i looked for hibiscus on e-bay too. Don't want to venture into garden center - to many annoying old people lol :p
Ooh,that sounds cool - thanx :D
I did a search for them on e-bay but couldn't find any, looks like i'll have to go to a garden center lol :p
ETA - just looked up pothos on the plant guide, says it's got toxins and should be removed if your cham is a plant eater, Shiver doesn't seem to...
