I mist my cham 3 times a day and he has a little dripper on for a few hours as well. I mist for a good 3 - 5 mins and see him drink regulary (as long as he is in the mood to let me watch him drink). His poops have the white bit in it so I take that as an indication that he is drinking enough...
my cham actually doesnt like going back in his cage after he has been out in his fiscus tree in the sun...had a dickens of a time getting him in tonight and he gave me the filthiest of looks
Most don't make it into Australia, we have pretty good customs...you would see stories on the news about them being smuggled in suitcases, or found in cages on fishing boats that had been stopped in our waters or picked up in customs and most of them near death from the ordeal they have been...
Yeah thats bad....dont get me started....I could rant about it all day.
So many of them end up in Australia being so close. I dont know why people buy them, they turn up in such poor condition, often die & it just encourges more and more illegal trade of such beautiful & endangered creatures.

I first started by buying silkworms and hornworms in the pods in just small quantities. Its the best way to start to see if your cham likes them or not before laying out for the bigger purchases and George likes them as a treat in the arvo. It stops him getting bored with just crix.

Over supplementation.....the crix were like ghosts they were that white.

I did the same thing with George when I first got him. He had the white stuff around his nostrils for about 2 weeks before it went away.....just keep your cham hydrated :)
