I guess I should offer help rather than just tell you how awesome the title is...
Go to your local Dollar General and buy a roll of plastic sheeting, and some velcro strips. Cut the sheeting to cover 3 of the sides of your cage (I have the exact same cage). Place the velcro strips on the...
Don't worry. I take advice very well. I am not going to pick anything off. I don't like it when I get a sunburn and my skin peels off, so I wouldn't pull skin off my cham. Hell, just yesterday, i looked at one of my tattoos on my left arm and it was peeling. I went to peel it off and it didn't...
The day I got them, 1 molted on me! It freaked me out a bit. I wasn't expecting to have a cup full of dark grey roaches at first, then an hour after I get them home, there is a white one that is bigger than before and slightly see-through! It was weird, but now it is to be expected. It was even...
The majority of the shed has come off with the exception of around it's nostril and a few areas where there were some small cuts (due to it being WC, my guess). The mistings shall continue.
Great looking veiled! I was thinking the same thing about his casque...basically, "Geez...that thing is freaking HUGE!!!" (Actually said out loud)
One question: What is your cage made out of? Can you provide a small list of supplies? It looks like screen has been put over a cart of some kind...
I take my Senegal outside about once a week. Since I hate all of our bushes (and our neighbors cats that tend to hide in them and chase birds, I am never going to put my cham on a bush, but that is just my choice. I did however, get a really tall fake potted tree yesterday at our local goodwill...
Update on dubias!
I got about a dozen dubias from the girl at PetCo, and my Senegal loved them! It ate 4 right off the bat. We also fed one to our Blue Dumpy frog, but we lost sight of it in his tank, but we are cleaning his tank later today, so we will see what happened to it and if it got...
I was going to post that video! However, there is a longer version that includes it pooing in the water, it starts out funny with the fart, ends gross with the poo...
I wanted to do something like this for my cage, but since we keep the cage in the living room, my girlfriend wanted something that "went with the room" so industrial shelving ideas were out.
We went to the local Goodwill and found an end table with a glass top that I ended up modifying...
Today my chameleon had its first shed while in my care! I came home and it looked like my Senegals skin just exploded off of it while I was at work today. It didn't all come off, there are still bits on its body, but the top of it's head is still mid shed.
I am wondering if I need to help it...
Wow, that name is long! You got a lot of Brit references in one name.
I am a huge Whovian, so that was cool to see there, my girlfriend's nephew is named Oliver, so that is pretty cool too. I saw a site selling chams one day and the breeding pair were named Captain Jack Harkness and Donna...
I looked into Dubias this weekend at the KC Reptile Show. They had a breeder there who encourage people to smell a cup of crickets versus a cup of Dubias. I refused the crickets, since I am all too familiar with the smell, and got a whiff of the Dubias...there was almost no smell! There were...
This is probably the closest to my situation. I don't want to wake my cham up early for a feeding only to have it fall back asleep right after. Plus, it sucks getting up as early as I do, the rushing around to get ready for work, then almost always end up running late due to our local bridge...
I love the name! Please post a picture of the good Doctor! Is his cage bigger on the inside?
As far as gutload, I don't know that much about it. I just made some gutload based on a video I found on youtube. Seems to be working so far. I have never heard of anyone putting in most of the stuff...
