no you are correct its very high in protein and not good. Many places mentions to feed the roaches that but if your feeding to reptiles definitely a nono. I've also read that doing that is great to get them started and established once again as long as your not feeding them to your cham.
avoid trees with saps, and pieces that are rotting. for specific trees im not sure if there are specifics i thnk a quick search may help you out or maybe start a new thread just to be sure
my house during the winter will probably 66-68 at the most. havent experienced a winter yet but your not in THAT cold of an environment to keep a cham. how to retrofit not quite sure how to tell you to go about doing so havent decided how im going too. many people including myself simply use...
yes, theres nothing specific with that light its just the visual light spectrum of the light itself, so should be able to find it in any size you need.
good advice ^^ looked at this earlier but didnt respond. i also thought 66 isnt too cold. but i'm trying to wonder why only 66 ny weather cant be too much different than ontarios. proper lighting should fix that for summer months. and I havent had my guy for a winter yet but i do have left over...
ya, when they're awake lol... but no, not that i know of.
why do you ask? the first thing that came to mind was maybe wasnt quite dark enough and the eyes opened up. when that happens they dont tend to move and will stay in the same spot and try to sleep
i think you should post more pics of your enclosure, i think they tend to go on the top more so when theres a lack of branches and foilage. since i redecorated my cage he doesnt go up as often still does and i think mine is pretty full but hes never up there for an extended period of time and...
you may not need to fill out that form unless you may want some advice on your husbandry and care and the supplies you have. which mau not be such a bad idea. post pictures thats only way people can help determine an age. in the mean time i think about an 84 temp range should be good 90 may be a...
i dont know if things would be different because there is a health issue present. however getting vitamins and nutrients to your cham should be mostly done by good gutloading and "supplements" should be just a supplement to help out.
I think you are overthinking the feeding schedule not that...
first of all how old is your panther?
babies up to 3 months should be about 80-82 with an increase of about 1degree every month until adult temps are reached and 85-90 should be just fine
most people have theres hanging from the top tied with fishline, can run a piece of wood across the top and tie it to that. growing upwards you can use ties to help it
dont use a water bowl they will drown in next to no water, i simply supply them hydration through fruits and veggies and make my own dry gutload mix for other nutrients. check on sandra chameleons blogs on the forums has an overwhelming amount of stuff about gutloading and how to gutload and...

hmm i personally dont see the point in it but interested if it would work lol. like i just think how it would work, how deep it may be. would it be a hazard?
and most of all you'll be misting regardless and will have water sitting on leaves already
ya good for you, seem to have done your research. id keep basking 83/84 at the highest for the next month or so. and gutloading i may be wrong but collards might not be good for everyday use, could also throw in more of a variety from what you have at home and a dry mix commercial bought or home...
I agree john that's why I did it! And really happy I did and take as many pictures I do, only fraction I put up on the forums too.
Thanks alot kath :)
Hoping with this shed there will be surprises with colour/pattern but it's all been the same lately. Although I have not seen him once do...
