so i'm more of a panther cham person and also dont breed or own a female. but to take a stab at things id say from the size of the casque i say you have a female there and guess she may be gravid. you will probably want to get a laying bin set up asap if thats the case. becoming egg bound and...
so went and talked to my brother and pass on what you had said, and he was a bit worried on how small the sac is, was looking at other pics of different turtles and tey were huge and often ugly looking and his is so little. think it still might be in the back of his head if this is an premature...
thanks ferret :) yes he still has some of the sac left, he has already separated it
into a different container. think with some dirt. do you think paper towel will be better? he misted it well before hand. read about the hiding from the link you provided earlier. he has some moss i believe in...
So the past week or 2 we've had some temperature issues and my brother had this feeling to check them today. (not usually a good idea we know) and one of the eggs was cracked open. And saw something moving in the dirt. And were like Wth is it, it's killing my eggs really wasn't that visible, low...
he looks as big as my 7.5 month old who hatched feb 2. just went back to my photo thread of my cham going up and my guy at 4 months looks as if he can be eaten by these guys lol. had a big growth spurt by 5 months but still no where near this.
regardless he looks great, you;re doing a great job
linear bulbs are more recommended for the uvb to give a more wide spread of light cover, would also prevent the need to have 3 fixtures up top. and on another note im almost positive the soft white bulb is doing very little for your plants. you want a daylight bulb, soft white and cool white are...
chams are the other way around you dont bump up their feeding you slow down. now your good to feed her like a little piggy. at 2.5 months dont have to worry about clutches for a good period of time however eating lots at young age will ensure healthy development. id continue feeding her til she...
and thats the thread i was talking about as well lol. id probably go 1.0 as well with the t8.
i just want to remind you in the pictures nhenn provided its a double t5 vs single t8. as mentioned not to say the t8s are bad however with either i still suggest having a double especially if you...
so at that age he needs to be eating alot more!! like up to 25 crickets sometimes, generally as many as he would eat in a span of 5 mins and when my guy was little i did that couple times a day. although seems like he is drinking alot at that age think id try and add another 1-2 misting...
you need a basking bulb! chameleons realize light as a heat source as they would the sun in the wild. if you need more heat increase the wattage, or if you can safely move light or basking spot bit closer without risking burns do so.
what thread were you reading? the thread i thought was the light bible when i first joined a year ago was the definitive lighting thread. (good read) t8's were the go to in the past and im sure a number of people still use them successfully. with t8s i might be thinking a 10.0 might be a better...
a tiny amount of dish soap and water should be fine. i know dawn dish soap is safe for animals so thats what ive been using. a fair amount of ppl scrub each leaf and their underside. ive seen someone post saying they were told to fill a bucket/tub with water and soap invert the plant and dunk it...
haha i feel you. well good luck! glad you found someone. but like i said recorp inc. gary there has access to silk and horn chow. i grabbed 1lb powder bags from him which should return me 4-5lbs cooked. and he has eggs as well my last big order he threw in 1000 silk eggs for free which i still...
you would def need to seal the wood with something. when i first joined to forum and was researching build threads alot of people used the waterbased minwax polyurethan. i could not find the waterbased one for the life of me in canada so settled for varathan diamond wood finish. i used poplar as...
