    Too big?

I live in Southern Oregon, we have a few rattlesnakes and some Garters. My chams can definitely get out of it, Yoyo crawled right through it! I carpeted the bottom of it and put a plant in there, so for sure I need wrap it in a smaller wire. I'll post pictures when I finish

    Worried about preggo girl

It is a lowes 5 gallon bukcket filled with sand and perlite that are constantly moist. It's at the bottom of her cage. She has a lot of privacy in the room since I am the only one who goes in there to feed her

    Too big?

so I'm building Ashi and Yoyo an outside enclosure(formally an old chicken coop). I've patched up all the holes, leveled out the ground, now all I gotta do is put the carpet down and put the plants in and set up the mist system. However, when I took Ashi out to check it out, I'm a little...

    Chameleon eating weird stuff!

Are they shiny? I've noticed when my chams are thirsty they try to eat shiny things!

    Worried about preggo girl

So Ashi has been gravid for about 2 1/2 weeks. When I walked into the room to feed her (I've seen this four times) she is displaying shockingly bright gravid colors! She has no sight of Yoyo, my male. I'm concerned, does this mean she's trying to lay, but can't so she gets distressed and...

    Ashi is spoiled

look at her. She won't let me close her cage and if I do, she hangs on it upside down.

    Dubia breeding question

Sounds great. Thanks for the advice, I keep getting mixed signals from guides online. It's nice to talk to someone who knows what they're doing

    Dubia breeding question

Oh, so table scraps are pretty good then? And honestly I've only been worried because in the room where I keep them it's been getting about 105 every day. Of course, roaches are ectotherms so I don't know if they need more water lol.

    Dubia breeding question

Well that is disapointing. Should I feed the roaches the same plants you could feed a veiled? Or is there a specific food they go crazy for? I liked the flukers thing because it makes me not worry about watering the roaches, so is it okay to leave chunks of it in the colony in case some get thirsty?

    Dubia breeding question

So I have two adult roaches, and a shit ton of smaller ones. Idk if they've been having babies because I haven't had the adults very long. However, when I was feeding them (I use romaine lettuce usually) I noticed the female walking around with something sticking out of her butt! Is it an egg...

    Outside enclosure

Nice to hear! I have considered the coons and other animals going there (I see tiny birds in there sometimes) so I've made the wire into tiny chick wire so even thos birds can't get in. They're really reinforced (I tried to kick it down, didn't even nudge the staples) and the wire is to weaved...

How many feeders do you offer?

i offer hornworms, superworms, and dubia roaches. Every two weeks or so I put in some soldier fly larvae or crickets, maybe some waxworms as a treat

    Outside enclosure

I built my custom cage out of the same wire (I forget to mention the door wire is being replaced since it's a larger kind) and since there's no pesticides in my neighborhood (I live in the country, my neighbors only grow organic things, we all trade with each other) and no one grows any types...

How to pick up a Cham?

Yep, food is a great way to win trust. With previous chams that have been abused and humans have been mean to I've found they're open to new people! My girl, Ashi, was terribly mistreated and handled by a child all the time, so naturally she hated humans! She bit me a few times when I took her...

    Outside enclosure

Hello guys, I have an old chicken coop I am considering making into a huge chameleon enclosure! I'd like your thoughts before I do it. I want to put a full time mister in there that's linked to my hose (no chlorine or added minerals before it hits the filter in my house) and adding a quick shade...
