That's true the sungazer looks like a pokemon lol. Well I definitely know I want a chemelon, will probably start of will a veiled and when I have had that for a year or so get a panther and then mabye a Jackson. Also I want a beared dragon and mabye a leaf tailed gecko. But right know I have...
That one with black eyes looks like an alien so cool. Also sorry I keep asking questions but I heard that need live plants because they tend to eat it which one is the one that if broken realises irritating sap.
So you all know I was deciding between which chemelon I should get and I have decided to go for a veiled chemelon as they are a lot more available and easily found than Panthers or Jacksons. I am also aware they are a lot hardier than the 2 spieves so a better choice for me as I'm a beginner...
You know what after going through online it seems that Panthers are not as available as Yemen or Jacksons. Going through pictures of yemen chemelons they seem pretty colourful abs beautiful as well. But I am not getting a chemelon anytime soon so yeah I've got time to decide.
Oh online I read that Jacksons tend to live longer but you are the expert so I must have read an unreliable source. They said they live longer because they come from a cooler environment so have slower metabolisms compared to a panther.
Nighttime temperatures can safely drop down to 50F (10C) so a night heat source should not be used unless temperatures are lower than this. If night heat is needed a ceramic heat emitter or space heater should be used, not a light bulb, even red or black bulbs.
It says this for panther chemelons...
Thanks everyone still deciding as I can basically provide for both species. Do you guys know which one tends to live longer I know chemelons arent long lived anyway compared to other animals.
So I'm guessing your saying it's like a tortise they need to hibernate in the winter months some people choose to do it others dont but they live longer healthier lives if they are hibernated. I'm not taking sides.
