    Some Cages

I have a few 24 x 24 x 48 used screen cages as well as some 18 x 18 x 36 screen cages. These are all fairly new with a small hole in the top for the misting system, the hole is about 3/8" in diameter. I am asking $65 for the the larger and $45 for the three footers, plus shipping. PM me...

In Need of help, both vet and I are stumped!!!

WOW stop with the Carnivore Care...this is made for carnivores not insectivores. I would say that digestive tract is shot. You have been giving your chameleon not the right balance of vitamins...you are probably seeing some hypervitaminosis. I would say lots of water to flush her system...

    Panther chameleon types?

I have spoken with Will (owner of pardalis.be) a few times. He only had two of these that came in looking red and white. The shipment was actually a shipment of Tamataves, so the true locale of those two is still up in the air. Honestly I think they are from Cap Est. I speak with Mark Ten...

    Panther chameleon types?

I have 2 unrelated clutches of Masoala right now that are about 2 months old. I only have a limited number of Tamatave and Maroantsetra, so I am thinking I am going to raise these for breeders for next year. I may sell a couple of those two locales. I will be updating my website soon or you...

    Panther chameleon types?

LOL...I am no herpetologist but I have my fair share of locales. Basically the easiest way to think of it is all those names you named are cities in madagascar, commonly referred to as locales. Well each city has a different color pattern of panther chameleon. Thats about it...

    new panther (nosy be) x2

Ahh Matt...sorry its definitely a female. Not only is there no hemipenal bulge, but she is already getting the female coloration. Many times Nosy Be males get a green tint very young (starts at about 2 months old). Good luck and hope you find a male! Chris

    other sources of Vitamin A

Suzanne, That is a pretty safe conclusion. The only thing I tend to have any question about is "A while others have seen problems caused by vit A deficiency." What tests are we running to know this is the true cause? You cannot do blood test because hyper and hypovitaminosis would show...

    Year Old Breeder Ambilobe

This male around a year old and is a great breeder. He shows some great colors and is very healthy. This guy would be great for a breeder, not being handled very often. He does not do well being handled, he will get stressed and he will gape at you, but he will surely produce some nice...

    other sources of Vitamin A

I would say no...how would you give preformed A...a drop of cod liver oil? This is made for humans...even .02cc (roughly a drop) contains far too much preformed A for a young chameleon. Also, we know with people and other animals that babies have sufficient usable A from their mother and/or...

    other sources of Vitamin A

Dodolah, Yep exactly...the upper tolerable limits for vitamin A is much lower than the upper tolerable limits of vitamin D, therefor using preformed A is a bit more dangerous and cannot be compared to vitamin D supplementation. The fact of the matter is there are tons of people with...

    pardalis identification

Picassos generally have blue barring. From what I have heard a Picasso is a blue bar Ambilobe with red speckling in his barring. So, he could be a Picasso or as Julirs said, could be a Nosy Be X Ambilobe. When you cross Nosy Be with other locales they get red speckling...and that too is a...

    Nice Incubator

IMHO I think it is either a heater or a cooler...not a thermostat that can be dialed in to a temperature. The only good ones I have seen have been $600+ -Chris

I think my panther may have a respiratory infection

It sounds like he is dehydrated a bit. Many times stringy saliva is a symptom of being slightly dehydrated. What is your watering schedule like? -chris
