Are we over analyzing our new chameleon?

Hey there! I would try adding some more horizontal branches a tad higher in the cage.. if your guy is hanging from the ceiling, it could likely mean your basking spot isn't warm enough or high enough (so he climbs higher to get warmer or safer feeling). From the picture of your enclosure, it...

    Crusty, white bump: opinions?

Uh oh.. I'm pretty sure this is some sort disease. Forget the name. Something that stems from the breeder she came from.. I believe it's also contagious so if you have any other chams dont fraternize them & wash your hands. I'll keep digging for the name.. good luck ♡

@somerandomband Aww shucks! You're too kind  ...And chameleon kisses ARE the best. I just love the energy they bring with them - patience, observation, calculated & deliberate movements. I think we could all learn a thing or two (or a thousand 'cause they're kind of complicated) from...

    Cup Feed vs. Free Feeding...

We mostly feed silkworms & hornworms - The couple times we've let them free range, they end up pupated at the bottom, buried in the plants or in places our cham can't reach. Also, they're fairly expensive.. so when multiple worms evade our chameleon, it starts to add up. Therefore, we cup feed...

    Anyone seen this before?

Ah! Drat. Okay. I'll have to get my timing down better & hatch a male & female around the same time.. Someone from Chameleon Central USA (FB Group) was also really helpful: "I try to have at least 6-8 trying to get a pair at the same time. Males will live a bit longer assuming they are fed. Last...

    Normal poop?

From Poop 101: "Urates should be white, soft but firm and may have a chalky texture. A yellow tinge is okay but orange urates indicate that your chameleon may not be getting enough water. If your chameleon defecates infrequently the end of the urates may be more orange but the rest still looks...

Whats up Cham Fam! It's been a while - just as a quick update, Buddha's doing great! His edema still fluctuates, but overall he's thriving :) So... I've run into something unique & I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this... Long story short, we've been attempting to get a hornworm...
