sounds like the water storing crystals.. I use the miracle grow water storing crystals in the water dish for my roaches and crickets so they dont drown in the water. they could have had some dried pieces stuck on their legs or something then they absorbed the water
I just got a few 4 packs of mini glass bowl/cups from the dollar store (prob about 3" wide) and the only thing that has gotten out of them were the crickets because they jump..( have put worms and roaches in them). I just leave stuff in the bowl and make a branch that goes down close to the edge...

I did leave him for a day and put a pinhead cricket and a butter worm... the cricket was gone.. not sure if it just escaped tho or buried itself in dirt... lol fingers crossed these dubia's work tonight! I will set my house on fire if any of those escape haha
Soo... I have a 2.5 month old baby mail veiled.. and he was eating just fruit flies. Then i found super tiny meal worms (before i found out they are hard to digest..) and hes been eating a mix. I got butter worms.. he grabbed one then spit it out and wont eat any of them.. I tried a silk worm...
