Kamo my 3 month old Veiled seems to be spending most of the day basking under the uv light. It is a reptisun T5 5.0 HO 22 inch with his basking 8 inches below. I am not running a heat lamp as the upper part of enclosure runs at 77 during the day. I wondering if he coukd be getting to much uvb?

The top part of my enclosure runs at 77 during the day. Do i need to provide him a heat light to bask in as well?

Kamo is a 3 month old Veiled. Looking at my enclosure is this too much? Like as he gets bigger would i take sticks, plants ect out of here to give him more space?

out of the 72 I have put in there over last 3 days I have seen a couple maybe 5 roaming around but the bottom is soil with lots of live plants so they could be hiding as well

My Veiled is 3 months old and I have had him for 5 days. The first 2 days he was eating everything i put in there within first 5 minutes. Last 3 days he has not seemed interested in food. I am putting 12 crickets 2X a day morning and evening along with some meal worms. I dont ever see him eat...

The house is big. 2 story open floor plan 2600 sq ft I dont even think my ac would cool it to below 73 in these hot florida days. I will have to try like a 16000btu portable AC next to his cage but skeptical as its completely open floor plan with 2 story ceilings so it will be trying to cool...

I did move his habitat away from the window just to be safe but his temps only dropped 1 degree now sitting at 77 at top and 75 at bottom. Im not running a heat lamp as I feel he doesnt need it and I keep my AC at 74 but still seems warm for a 3 month old Veiled

picked up this feeder and he has been loving it

put some sticks 8 inches under his light and he went straight to it

I get what you are saying about him trying to get light from the window compared to under the uv lighting. Even him sitting thereat the window I think he is still getting the uv light as he is underneath it about 10 inches below. Do you still beleive i should move it away from window? It being...
