The adults are long term captive WC’s. These parasites were not passed down. I’ve had many clutches from WC females and never had parasite issues. This actually popped up at about the 3 month mark from hatching.

If you read about steaming for coccidia you will find that the parasite need to be exposed to the stem for a period of time so you have to the wand very slowly.
I have this one and it works good. The thing about using a steamer is you have to move it very slowly to kill parasites like coccidia. I’m happy with this unit but don’t knock it over. I did that and to stopped working for good and I had to buy another...
This is very cool. I helped Jay Redbond with the Chester Zoo a bit and I’m happy to see them have success hatching Parson’s. I believe he said they are the first AZA zoo to hatch them.
