I’ve seen it take a few days for the chameleon to suck it in... he won’t eat with that sack so I would keep him separated, especially from insects as they might try to chew on it. Thanks!
Make your own... course rope from home depot, put gloves on or get a paint brush and rub silicone over entire surface, get coco fiber and mix it all over, let dry for 12 hours and you're good to go. Looks real and way cheaper
I agree, also make sure to position the plants so the chameleon can get right up next to the uvb(within 8 inches or so). The more coverage the more comfortable they seem to be. Thanks
Room temperature soil and no I provide water when she is done laying. Make sure not to disturb or even look at her when she’s in the box. Let me know how it works!
If my females don't lay I usually get a plastic tote 20-30 gallon, fill it up with sand/eco earth mixture so that she can dig a tunnel without it falling on her, put a stick in the plastic tote(but not too big as she may not go to the ground if she has the option to climb). Leave her in all day...
Also try to have the humidity around 40-60% during the day and at least 60%+ at night if possible. I use a humidifier and have shower curtains wrapped around the sides of the cage to help out.
Do you know the temp? sometimes mine get a little dark if its too hot or cold(over 85 ambient and 67 or lower ambient). I would just add more foliage and keep an eye on him. He might just be trying to get used to his cage. Good Luck
Could be receptive, if you have a male show him to her and if she freaks out she isn't receptive. If she just looks at him and looks relaxed then she is receptive.
