Yes you obviously are very stubborn. Which is not a quality to have when seeking advice on a forum full of experts and other knowledgable keepers. They are not only looking out for the health and overall wellbeing of the cham, but they are also looking out for you. The whole glass vs. screen...
If there are other animals around him at night, that may be keeping him awake. I had my wife move her two cats to another room at night. They run around and were waking him up. Since then, he sleeps like a baby lol.
You could try cup feeding. I used one of those plastic party cups and cut it up high enough to prevent most crickets from escaping, but low enough for him to easily get to them. You can use a pair of magnets to hold it to the side of the cage. You could try dubia roaches. Mine loves them. I feed...
Ok, I'm not an expert by any means but I've been viewing your threads for a few days now. You obviously need to do some more research into the husbandry and care of chameleons. If you are trying to do things the cheapest way, then it will most likely end badly IMO. You should save up your money...
Yeah one of the easiest ways to increase humidity is to add live plants in and around the cage. For my veiled, I have two live plants in the enclosure, I mist twice a day, I have a fogger that comes on for an hour every 4 hours, and I have his dripper run for 10-12 hours a day.
Sorry misread the last post lol. Your humidity for a panther should be maintained between 50-70%. It will spike after misting. 80-90% isn't unheard of but it should drop to the normal range fairly soon. But that depends on air movement around the cage, potted plants, AC, etc.
What do your gauges read? Do you have a misting system or a fogger? How often are you misting? Do you have a drip system? Live plants? Sorry about all the questions but this info is needed to help figure out a solution.
Mine does the same thing. I start mine in the morning when his lights come on. If you reach inside and touch the the screen where it's dripping, it will start to drip through. Once you get it going you're good to go. Now for the pooling water. You can use a container to catch the drips on the...
How old is your chameleon? Is the 75-80 the basking temp or the ambient? I use a 100 watt basking bulb for my veiled. It sits about 7-8 inches above a vine and it stays around 90-95.
5.0 UVB is what's recommended for Chams. What kind of enclosure and what's the ambient room temp? That plays a lot into what wattage bulb to use for heat. Glass will obviously require less than screen enclosures.
Yeah I'm a new owner too. I just got my first veiled about a week ago now. I think I got lucky with mine. He started eating within the first few hours. He eats around 10 crickets a day. He isn't really skittish, but he had never drank in front of me until this morning. It's weird how relaxed he...
Awesome! I will give that a shot tonight. I also just thought of using burnt PVC to make a series of perches. that way I can zip tie vines and branches directly that.
Ok, first time Cham owner here. I recently purchased a 3 month old male veiled. Everything is going great so far. However, I'm struggling with getting enough horizontal branches in the cage. I see a lot of photos of cages with numerous branches, but I can never tell how they keep them from...
