I just did a soak and when I put Rexy back in the cage, there was a bowel movement starting to happen. I’m just getting nervous because I don’t want my chameleon to get sick. In the picture is what just came out minutes ago.

The Vet tech is the one that called and maybe what they’re trying to accomplish is lukewarm water helping with a bowel movement? I was nervous about it causing too much stress as well. Humidity has steadily been 60 and I’m giving plenty of drinking opportunities with misting and Rexy’s dripper...

I'm not sure the age of my Cham and when I should prepare for egg laying. I have a lay bin in the enclosure at the bottom.

I don't think I've noticed bright yellow on my Cham. I've seen vibrant green, and then light green with dark green striping

I just bought the larger T5 HO and I ways use distilled in the dripper and for mistings. I saw my Cham drinking water today off of a leaf and the vet actually said the eyes looked nice and clear and good. Said inside of the mouth looked good too. Never mentioned any dehydration.

@BostonKeith it is a high output UVB light. Although I probably need a longer one since I just got a bigger enclosure.

@kinyonga i tried to ask the vet but she said they are very hard to tell the sec at such a young age. I thought I saw tarsal spurs but now I'm not so sure. I do have a lay bin at the bottom of the enclosure just in case. Could you share pictures of the supplements you use?

The basking branch is closer to 9 inches away from the light on top of the enclosure.

I have a veiled Chameleon and I’m using a thermometer to measure the temp in the basking area.

Hello, I just got an XL screen enclosure for my Cham and wondering what wattage and brand I should get for heat? It’s a big enclosure and I feel the bulbs I have now aren’t giving off enough heat. The temp is only 78 F in the basking spot now. :/

Just put one in and hoping it relieves my Chams stress. In any case, I’ll at least find out next week at the vet if I have a boy or girl. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Danny, did you have to bring a urate sample with you to the vet? I’m so happy I finally have a Cham. He (I think) is the coolest! He doesn’t let me handle him at all right now. But hoping I can gain that trust over time.
