I just went through the exact same thing with my female veiled Cham. She had a respiratory infection and bacteria in her poo. I would get yours to a vet immediately! I had to go through two different vets because the first one told me it was constipation. It’s important to choose a vet who knows...
I kept talking to her and asking her to fight through it. She is such a strong girl. ❤️ The Vet was impressed and said I was on top of her care. I appreciate all the advice and guidance I’ve been given in this group. I have a screen enclosure with a background that covers the sides and back...
*Update* I just left the vet with Rexy and she had a slight respiratory infection and is being tested again for parasites. We also got much clearer X-rays this time. Doctor thinks because there is some blood in the stool it’s most likely parasites as well. We’ve got medicine and Rexy got some...
@MissSkittles thank you so much. I’m at Edwards Air Force base in California, I think the ones on the list are too far from me. I’ll take a look again but it looked like a lot were in LA and that’s a couple hours or so from me.
@Beman So my light bar is not right? I’ve changed a couple things. Background covering 3 sides of the enclosure, raised heat lamp off screen, the UVB light is bigger now, added a lay bin at the bottom and a new thermometer system. I lightly dust with calcium without D3 at each feeding and then...
@MissSkittles I am still trying to find something to raise the enclosure onto, to make it higher. I have purchased a new thermometer and hygrometer system to more accurately measure the temp in basking area, lower in the enclosure and the hygrometer in the center. They’re on timers now so...
I sure have. I got Dubias, crickets, hornworms, silkworms and black fly larvae. I’ve offered each one. The only thing I’ve seen her take a liking to during all of this is a couple of flys.
I was feeding ten to twelve a day until Rexy wasn’t eating any of it so I thought I’d offer a little to at least see if the appetite was better and go from there.
I took Rexy to the vet two weeks ago after noticing he/she wasn’t eating. I took a stool sample and they also got X-rays. I was told the stool was negative for parasites and X-ray showed bone mineralization was good- the only thing they saw was that Rexy was constipated. I’ve tried to offer silk...
I plan to get some hornworms this weekend but feeling very desperate for my Cham to eat and drink. I can see the eyes are starting to look sunken in. 🥺
