    Interesting blog about Free ranging

It depends on many factors. What species? What kind of free-range (room or partial room)? Are you able to provide all of your cham’s needs while free-ranging? I would not recommend it for most new keepers, as it can be difficult to set up, and dangerous if not done correctly. If you have any...

    Baby panther question

When do baby panthers (Ambilobe, if it makes a difference) typically start getting their colours? I have several just over 4 weeks that are showing some yellows and greens already. Normal? A large group of them are showing green tints in their sides, crests, and cheeks. I watched Bill Strand’s...

    Baby Panther

Probably right on the “just out of the egg”, mine hatched the 22nd and look pretty similar. Pretty sure it’s a little boy.

    Tail Tuesday

Not Tuesday yet, but it’s this lil dude’s 4-week hatch day. He either hatched with a little kink in his tail, or broke it soon afterwards. He can still move the end, and appears to have no other problems, but he’s a special little guy- also the youngest (so far) of his clutch.

    tons of questions on handling

If he shows signs of stress, definitely back off. Same with gaping (unless you want to get bitten). Keep in mind that friendliness and personality vary from cham to cham, and as your 3 mo. cham grows, personality changes can also happen. From my experience, with my two panthers, one will gladly...

You tube celebrity gets a chameleon

Rango and pascal are definitely the most popular names for impulse chams, cuz of animated movies featuring them. Got pretty annoying after the 50th cham named rango/pascal died on here 🙁

    I just had a first

My panther will focus on my finger, but not shoot at it. To them, motion + smaller than chameleon = food, I guess.

Post pics of your chameleons! I may use them in my book!

Here’re my panthers, with hand for size comparison. If you want to use them, I can edit out the background stuff on the second one. (Note: male had MBD, so his front limbs are bent.)

    Love this pillow....

Well, I’m no expert but he needs a vet. Also, how big of an enclosure would one need?

Tongue Problem - Urgent (9 pictures)

This is a thread from 2018. The op hasn’t been seen since. The cham is most likely dead by now.

I raise you a late-er, tinier, and quite possibly cuter tail curl. 3 week Ambilobe :)

Help with baby! Misshapen eyelids, not eating.

Update: The baby did not survive the night. I’m not sure he was able to even see, and was relying on humidity to hydrate. RIP Angry Eyes.

How did YOU get into chameleon keeping?

All right… here’s my story. Ever since I was little, I loved reptiles and birds. Unfortunately for me, my mom hated birds and my dad hated reptiles. Fast forward to middle school. I meet the outdoor Ed teacher, who just happens to be a panther breeder, with experience in leopard geckos...
