I leave it running permanently. If you stop it, gravity makes the water fall in the pipes and as it's very restricted by the IV, the pump can't push the water up 1.5m.
If your reservoir was on a similar level, that wouldn't occur.
I did all this after being being fed up of unreliable dripper...
Rose laid her 1st ever clutch on March 11th. She had another clutch April 28th. Wasn't expecting her to lay again that soon. Both clutches of 30 really strong looking eggs.
Bob's are usually lighter colour and split (like wishbone). This looks to be one piece rather than split.
HOWEVER get opinion from folk that know more than me.
10L reservoir
1 decent pump from Amazon
Tube and a bodge to attach
IV dripper ends
Waste water catcher
Waste water bucket
The bucket needs work lol. However, a bit of a bodge with a few parts and I have a reliable drip system with good rate. I fill morning and evening only.
Both my mister tubes and fogger pipework get cleaned every couple of months.
I remove the tubing, attach to a pump and push beer line cleaner around for an hour or so. Another hour flushing fresh water then put it back.
Mister has never been bad but noticed gunk in the fogger pipes.
Dripper...
I was gonna do that but the needles I have are too big for the tiny insulin syringe with the dosage on.
I thought kids were a pain in the ass for meds but chams have them wooped.
In the UK, they usually come in bran. As it gets moist it will expand a bit but hopefully just a couple of tiny pieces should be OK.
Keep an eye out and watch for poop. If he doesn't poop when he usually does, you may need to look again and maybe get him checked out.
Personally I transfer...
