How do folks set up their foggers?

I'm wondering for those of us with screen cages how many of you position and set up your foggers? Do you wind up cutting holes in your screens to feed hoses in or just let it rest on top? Any pictures of your fogging setups would be super helpful!

    "Naturalistic Hydration"

Since I'll be re-doing my cage, I'm eager to implement this more into my routine going forward, and I'd love to hear from anyone in the New England area if they've had any success with this or other methods. My issue has always been cold/dry winters and hot/humid summers. Our apartment gets...

Trying to figure out why my pothos didn't thrive

Yeah, I defintiely get that impression. There's a pothos sitting on a table under pretty low light here at work and it seems nice and bushy. I guess I could try putting it back in the cage with the light right over it to see how it does... Although I've moved it to my window sill which gets...

Trying to figure out why my pothos didn't thrive

Hey all, Having cleaned out Jasper's cage, one of the things that really stuck out to me was the state of the pothos I had in there vs when I first got it. I placed in the back left corner of our cage with a mistking rain loop above the cage to water it directly whenever it misted, plus a...

    Are our Caresheets Wrong??

@PetNcs I'm curious if you have examples of your practices in hydration and so forth in action. Do you have images of captive chameleons and their enclosures you could show us?

How to avoid "1 step forward, 2 steps back"

How long have you had him? If he's relatively new with you, it might take some time to get used to the routine.

    Improving Drainage From Tray

Ah, also I found the original thread I was looking for in case anyone's interested: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/cage-drainage-system.61692/ Since I've already got a hole in the bottom, I think this is the approach I'll be taking...

    Improving Drainage From Tray

I thought that was what you might've meant, but I'm pretty inexperienced with handy projects and assumed it was some kind of piping abbreviation lmao. Back to the tray, I removed the bulkhead and checked what I used to drill the hole with. I've got a 9/16" hole in the bottom and I think it's...

    Improving Drainage From Tray

Having cleaned out Jasper's cage after his passing, one of the things I've been wanting to work on creating a better drainage system that's more flush with the floor of this dragonstrand tray. I currently just have a regular mistking bulkhead screwed in as you can see, but the issue is it still...

    RIP Jasper

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. He did have coccidia a few years ago, and although we treated it and I gutted most of the cage then, I’m still a bit paranoid. I just figure when the time comes and I get another, why risk any potential parasites and so forth that might be clinging on...

    RIP Jasper

This morning I found Jasper motionless in his little safety net and his colors a bit off (darker) than his normal sleeping colors. His eyes were very sunken in and upon giving him a few pokes and nudges, it confirmed that he had passed away. I knew this day was coming soon as he'd grown more...

Tongue not shooting / mobility issues / slipping

Thank you for writing so much. I have a new Arcadia 6% bulb and will swap it in now. I was under the impression those lasted longer and only needed replacing once per year, but better safe than sorry! And as far as I'm aware the coccidia was the main culprit only once, but he might have had it...

Tongue not shooting / mobility issues / slipping

Since you're basically in my neck of the woods, do you struggle with humidity during the winter too? Our apartment has forced air heat and dries it up so fast. I run a whole room humidifier and run the fogger overnight. My cage is a screen cage, but I've covered a good portion of the side and...

Supplements are all good thru 2020 minimum. Will do with the extra hydration!

Tongue not shooting / mobility issues / slipping

I used a fogger from 12-4am during the winter but have discontinued in lieu of a few 30 second mists overnight as the spring and humidity come in here. Meds are all oral.

Tongue not shooting / mobility issues / slipping

Just wanted to post an update to the thread, things aren't going too well. I went to my usual vet which has been good, saw someone new, I guess the head honcho there and I did a 30 day course of anti-biotics, and now doing coccidia meds (I'm assuming Albon?) 5 days on and 5 days off. I mentioned...

Need help determining if my 12 month panther chameleon is the right size for his age

Ok, first of all, calm down. You're stressing me out here with all the panicked messages. There's a few care guides to read along with the cheat sheets that have been posted. Just go under resources on this site and you'll see lots of info on caging, lighting, nutrition specifically for...

    My first cham enclosure build

I’d say the only real red flag is your lighting. You’d be much better of with a nice long T5HO uvb than that collection of smaller bulbs.
