    Lighting on larger enclosure

I purchased the plant bulb and fixture for thirty bucks from lowes hardware. I ordered the 5.0 through Amazon, it runs me 19 bucks with free shipping through Amazon prime. If you don't have Amazon prime go to your local petco and ask to do an extended aisle check out through Drs. Foster and...

    Crickets in bulk

I've ordered through ghanns and always been happy. It's somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 bucks for 500 shipped to your door.

    Lighting on larger enclosure

I ran a dual t8 48" light fixture over two separate enclosures that put together were those dimensions. I ran a standard plant gro bulb from lowes and a 5.0 t8 fbulb and had both plants and animals thrive. No need to spend a 100+ on a fixture. I promise the breeders aren't!

    Strange White Patch???

How long has the pin been in there? Honestly he looks stressed and may be reacting to the pair of eyes staring at him(the pin). I would remove it and see how he looks.

    Could this be RI

You may have trouble sourcing it but a speculum is really the best way to open his mouth. If you are administering a liquid antibiotic make sure to place the liquid in the rear of the mouth. If injected towards the front it poses a choking hazard.

    Juvenile Veiled Bugs & Supplements

Kind of my point, with out a blood test it is impossible to determine cause of death of the animal. I personally (and I am not alone) have never seen or known anyone who's seen a verified instance of, the animal was taken to the vet and it was confirmed that d3 was an issue. I have seen...

    Juvenile Veiled Bugs & Supplements

You will get varying opinions on this but no I would not worry about getting calcium with out d3. I have been advised by a very large and reputable breeder that they continue to supplement their chams w/d3 on a daily basis and have for as long as they have been open. I personally don't use...

    5.0 vs. 10.0

I just received a chameleon from a very well known and respected breeder in this community. They advised a 5.0 t8, I didn't ask about 10.0 or t5ho as this is what has worked for them for a very long time.

    Fake tree

I would avoid silk, hard to clean! Have you tried pothos? They are really difficult to kill.

to those with drainage trays under cage...

Use a magic eraser and a 1 to 10 bleach solution. Just make sure that you rinse it well after your done and I usually let mine sun dry. As long as you can't smell bleach your safe. I would use it in my freshwater aquariums all the time for any fake plants and it's cheap enough to use as a...

Exactly one month after signs of MBD

Glad it's a happy ending for him, he will always have battle scars but it's good to see he will live a happy life. I work in the pet industry and it always saddens me to see animals come through the door with obvious mbd despite having been given good advice on how to avoid it in the first place!

    Finally finished my first enclosure!

Looks great, I see the sides are glass, is the entire top screen? If not I would consider ways of increasing airflow. Cut more holes and forced air via a couple computer fans would probably do the trick.

    Predation in outside cages

Unfortunately right now I do not have any substantial caging available. Just the standard screen cages, I'm pretty sure the cats could get through it if they put there mind to it.

    Predation in outside cages

with the nice weather coming I would really like to let my guy outside to enjoy it. My concern is that my neighbor has two fat a$& cats that they let free roam. I have asked that they not let them roam my yard as they drive my dogs crazy and me as well. In addition to being so heavy they tear...

    Blue bar - Black stripes

At six months he would be in the early stages of change. You will have a much better idea of what he will look like at ten months and by eighteen months he will be done coloring up.
