this is the 4th day since this little pygmy hatched . he is walking and climbing with the egg shell stuck to his butt . is this normal ? could he still be absorbing yolk ? should I attempt to remove it and how long should I wait ?
if you can keep him outside in a sunny spot , but where he can still access shade , the natural sunlight will help him grow and help his overall health .

here in New York I can leave them (veileds) outside every day on the sunny patio . my quads are in the back of the yard where it is mostly shady and the temps do not get as hot . they both get plenty of uv and can cool off enough when they have to .

I'm on long island and I keep most of my chameleons outside from May until October . the veileds will come in around the beginning to the middle of October and the quads might make it until the middle of November , depending on the temps .
I have had a few chameleons over the years that don't like misting . I put the lizards and a couple of plants in the shower and all are happy . during the shower 2 males of the same species will get along - but separate them before the water goes off !
