An alternative to a wood framed enclosure is a quick frame aluminum one .no wood to worry about seal or rotting away on ya.

You could always look for some cheap lumber and throw a simple stand together. Check a building material resale store or home depot . Just a thought . Home depot sells 8foot 2x4s for like 6 bucks .you'd need like 4 of them so like 24 bucks.you might even find some free lumber in your local...

I would try a lower watt basking bulb i use a 75 watt and get consistent basking temps of between 80-85 degrees Fahrenheit

Actually its colored leds that are a no no. Full spectrum white led plant lights are ok i believe . There are experienced keepers on here using them. @Klyde O'Scope can you weigh in on led lights?
