Here’s a link to a video of him doing it. I only caught the tail end of it though.

Jackson’s Chameleon grabs face when climbing.

UVB is alsmost 5 months old. Twice a week he gets calcium without D3 and twice a month he gets a multivitamin with D3 as per the recommendation of a post on this site. As for a video, I’ll post one as soon as I get the opportunity.

Jackson’s Chameleon grabs face when climbing.

Recently I’ve noticed my little guy grabbing his horns, face, mouth while trying to climb. He will go to reach forward but snag a claw on something and sorta get it stuck for a bit. I’ve also noticed that he’s got scabs around where he snags the most often. I’d this just a growing faze that...

    Question For Other Jacksons Owners

So I've had my guy for about 3 months now and I was wondering what resting colors are your Jacksons? My guy seems to be a really dark green inside his cage, but when I take him outside, he turns pretty bright green. His cage is sitting on top of my dresser in my room, not to much activity during...

    Chameleon On Cricket Strike

I think I found the reason for the strike. When I got home from work today, I could see that he's shedding! It's weird because before I left he looked pretty normal, but it's like his skin exploded when I got home. I'm glad I found the solution and it's nothing bad.

    Chameleon On Cricket Strike

I have a 5-6 month old Jackson's. For the past 2 weeks or so I've been hand feeding my chameleon a meal worm before every feeding as a way to get him used to my hand. After he would take it, I would bring in the feeding cup of crickets and he would happily chow down. But starting yesterday...

    Sitting With Mouth Open

Actually now that you mention it, I’ve only ever seen him do it when I’m up close to the cage. I’ve never seen him do it from afar. It’s only when I’m looking at him closely that he does it. Yeah he does look at me while he does it. And when I clean up around his tank he usually flees from me...

    Sitting With Mouth Open

I tried to get a good shot of him, but he’s super camera shy. He’s the best I could get of little Mica.

It’s good to know that maybe it’s just a thing he does and isn’t a serious problem.

    Sitting With Mouth Open

Yeah, I’ve been doing twice a week Calcium and they guy load their crickets. I don’t remember with what brand of feed though. They also give them vegetables and fruit. They toured me around the store since I was a new customer and they wanted me to see what exactly they do to their crickets.
