Guys thanks for all your help but this morning my cham pasted away!
It must have been a lot worse than it seemed and tell you the truth i had a feeling it was gona happen!
I cant believe he's gone and it feels really depressing!
Right now ive given him 2 doses of the water and glucose mix over the day and he is still very weak. Ive given him a bath and kept him hydrated. Im not expecting immidiate results but im hoping i'll see a good change soon!
Actually christyo2o2 that was gona be my next question. I wasnt...
well ive been to the vet and he's a bit worried about him. He agrees with everything we've said and he gave him an enema and i think it was antibiotics or paraphin as well! He's told me to give him a mix of water and glucoses twice a day!
Is there anything else that i can give him?!? Im...
Thanks for the replies guys.
Ive given him a long bath and ive been massaging him. Ive noticed that his stomach is really bloated so a massaged that as well. He's not changed much, he's become a bit weaker but that mite be coz its way past his bed time! A bit of runny poop came out but not...
ok im doing it now, he seems comfortable in the bath. I'll be careful when massaging him. What are the possible consequences of this, could he die if not treated in time?!?
its late at night here and its becoming impossible to find one coz theres a lack of cham vets around! Is there anything that i can do and would that be the reason of his problem in the leg?!?
Ive just come home and my cham is at the bottom of the tank just sitting there. Ive got him out and he doesnt have that much power in his right back leg! he has normal power in the rest of him. He's able to grab with that leg but he doesnt balance well. Also i noticed that it looks like he...
thanks for the reply but the reason i havent gone to a vet is because i still cant find one that has experience with chameleons.
She died only an hour ago so i got to her too late.
As for all the things that you mentioned, none of those actually applied to her. Maybe something did get...
This morning i saw that my 5 month old female panther wasnt moving at all so i picked her up and she has no energy whatsoever. shes been dark for quite a while and ive been trying to give her water. Ive only been able to get little drips when she opens her mouth quickly.
I had her on a box...
oh my god crickets will eat anything. My crickets have eaten some of my fake plants and the polystyrene in my friends tank. They just eat whatever they can, such savages. lol.
I wouldnt feed them to my cham either, foam cant be good for them!
the only thing i can add is that i did read that if you cham eats too much ficus leaves it could be toxic to it. I dont know how true this is but it could be one of the reasons.
I also read that it depends on your cham, my one seems to love ficus leaves and its never affected him!
maybe...
ive just realised what i put before, they're not 4 years old they're 4 months old lol!
heres a pic of both of them:
heres a pic of my veiled as well:
im going to breed them if they're happy together and i think they are because just today i caught them on top of each other! Ive been...
Im in excatly the same situation as you. Ive had a veiled chameleon for over a year and ive just got two ambanja panthers, male and female. They are both 4 years old!
My veiled was alot more active than my panthers and i he still is. The male panther likes to walk around a lot but the female...
the only time me cham ever bit me didnt actually hurt but i was suprised coz he never bit me before and i had him for over a year! I guess it just depends on your cham!
