Sounds like they may have been over watered but I would definitely recommend a good grow light as well

You might need a grow light for the plants . What did they look like were the leaves turning yellow and dropping or turning brown?

How have you handled drainage? Is your setup bioactive? Imo if it isn't you are asking for trouble using substrate. What are the dimensions? it looks like it will be to small for an adult veiled.

I think what most here are having issue with is the torturing first to supposedly improve taste

Hi yall I just got a arcadia prot5ho 6% for my veiled and was wondering what the proper distance is to his basking branch with the light shining through the screen top? The box says 15 inches for a uvi of 3.4 . I don't yet have a solar meters I have no way of accurately checking it at this time.

I agree. and as @Beman said at this point you have to consider the quality of life this pour lil thing will have. if it survives at all. Sorry you are dealing with this.

Why would you drown them why not just feed live im just curious?

Unfortunately you will find there are a myriad of products that are marketed for chams that are inadequate and sometimes downright unhealthy.

I love seeing all chameleons but I agree seeing some of the rarer species would be fun.
