4 to 6 years, he came in as an adult import and looked to be an older male by other people I shared him with. So his exact age is unknown.

    Hoehnelii light burn?

Hello, I came home from work today to find one of my male hoehnelii almost black, eyes closed and not moving. His casque looks sunken incompared to my others and him previously. It also looks like he has a burn on his head. I use the Zilla 25watt mini halogen and have been for several months...

    Jackson’s Chameleons

Here's a helpful chart from the chameleon academy. Its important to remember were they come from. Xans are from the base of Mt Kenya but still rather high in elevation. The climate on the mountains/ hills is very similar across East Africa as they are montane forest isolated by dry savanna and...

    Humidity problem day and night.

A little off topic, but doesn't seem big enough for a topic on its own. Can anyone recommend a Hygrometer? I've used the Vivarium Electronics temp/ humidity combo. I like it since it tells you the highest & lowest recordings. But, like mentioned above, after a while the Hygrometer part stops...

Waiting to upgrade her to her new enclosure. If anyone has tips or examples of the tree root caves it'd...

Had a few warm days up here in NJ in the 60s and low 70s. Went herping for the first time and saw some spotted turtles. But also got some pics of my chameleons outside. First up is my male deremensis.

    Incandescent bulbs

I'm not 100% familiar with the situation in CA, but here in NJ we do gave something similar. Only specialty incandescent can really be found. Most pet stores still have incandescent bulbs. LLL Reptile, wich is based in CA still sells aside variety of basking bulbs. I believe it is primarily...
