Unfortunately, Albon. I know that’s not recommended, but that’s what they had :/ she never displayed any symptoms and her appetite has been fine—she’s only not been eating because of her tongue issues. I’m hoping the Albon will work okay for her.
I’ll do the clean up this weekend, after I can...
I will have to disinfect this weekend, and I’ll repeat that weekly until she’s given the all-clear. I’m now worried about my cats contracting the parasites too. They don’t come in contact with her, but I’m sure I’ve accidentally touched them before washing my hands after touching her.
It’s...
Thank you! She’s still extremely feisty, so I have a good feeling she’ll pull through this. She was so mad at me earlier, she hissed when I walked by the cage haha.
We just got home from the vet and things are okay I guess. We were prescribed some anti inflammatories to work with the antibiotics, and we hope this will help the swelling. It seems the spitting the tongue out is from discomfort. I just have to keep an eye on her to make sure she’s pulling her...
Yeah, I called earlier and told them what she was doing and they said bring her back in, so I scheduled for Wednesday, but she's just continually getting worse. After reading your message, I decided to call back (with like, 2 minutes until closing, luckily) to see if they had any tips, and they...
I don't know if I really need to fill this out as I already know what the issue is, I just don't know how to deal with it. I'll fill it out anyways.
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Charlie, female veiled, between 7-8 months, have had her about 3 months.
Handling - It was only during cage...
What store did you get her from? If it was a Petco of Petsmart, don't trust a thing they say. They don't know what they're talking about haha.
If it were me, I'd have something down. Even though the "normal" picture makes her appear skinnier, I'd still be cautious for her age.
"He" doesn't...
I have found that caring for Charlie is therapeutic as well. I recently went through a really difficult break up, huge move, career change, and college graduation all at once, among other things, and it was all wearing on me. I was kind of floundering and was dealing with depression as well, and...
Looks like a female to me. She's also rather stout--she may be carrying eggs. Don't take my word on that though; my female cham is younger than yours and has not shown any signs of eggs yet. Therefore, I can't say for sure whether yours is or not.
I would take the egg crate out and just put a few paper towel rolls in. It still gives them a place to hang out and it gives you easy access to them. I never put egg crate in my cricket box and they do just fine with the tubes.
While trying to give her her nightly dose of liquid food, she kept reaching out towards the syringe, so of course I handed it to her. Then she didn’t want to give it back. You’d think that means she likes it....nope. She just didn’t want me to be able to give her any she’s a sassy pants.
