Glad he's being taken care of. $300 is a steep vet bill but for me, a chams or any pets life is more important. Good thing u mentioned the amount as I was wondering what would be a good vet fund to have and I happend to have had that much saved up for him in case anything happens. Hope to see...
Yup, I was gonna do it with my schefflera but it's growing nice so no need. I also planted some cuttings to have another one when I upgrade to his big boy cage
Yeah probably, that's another thing people do, they have 2, one in the cage and another one outside and rotate them every couple weeks or so. Same thing with the schefflera.
Yeah that's what I do pretty much, I put about 6-7 crickets and some dubias in there around 10 am and again around 2 pm. If dubias are still there I put another 6 crickets. Usually around 4 everything is gone
Funny, my Cham shed today also and I was surprised how fast it went. I noticed when his light turn on his head was showing signs and by around 5-6 pm he had done his whole body, just his turrets and tail missing now lol amazing little creatures.
Yeah hibiscus is used but the problem is the amount of light they need. I've read here that the people that's have seen them actually bloom and grow healthy is because they use a quad fixture with 3 6500k bulbs or a couple 10k bulbs I also read somewhere they needed really high lumen levels to...
Mine is a baby (about 3 months) I can't help for the crickets to get out the feeder and im abiut to give nicks feeders are tey but the dubias stay there of course. I was just wondering about the amount of food.
I lowered the Temp on my dubias and cut down food because my beardie doesn't eat them as much and I had too many. So I assume they died. I still had some but not as many so when I started getting ready for my Cham I upped the Temps and food so I figured I should order more. Maybe I just missed...
Like everyone said, the colors are phenomenal! I'm a little peanut butter and jealous as I got a nosy be but he's about 3 months and still not showing much colors, except when he sleeps or gets a little grumpy lol I'll post a pic soon but he turns pastel colors sometimes even white-ish and looks...
Not an expert here but from what I've read, the mine concern with bamboo is the grip thing. Pothos and schefflera are so easily maintain that it shouldn't be an issue with the proper lighting. (6500k bulb) I made the mistake to leave my pothos in the sun and many leaves burnt but I still placed...
I wonder if I'm doing it right. I usually put about 8 crickets in my chams feeder along with 3-4 dubia nymphs and they're usually gone except for maybe 1 dubia and the occasional superworm which I also put 3-4 some days. Seems like quiet a lot but I usually have about 10 crickets roaming round...
Like everyone said, mistking has proven to be the go to mister, but recommendation for your tarp idea is going to your 99cent store or dollar tree and get the shower curtains then cut it to size. I did this to my chams cage and covered 2 sides tof avoid spraying my walls and better drainage...
I bought one for my beardie as he was being lethargic and lack of appetite, I didn't end up using it cuz it ended up being a little lack of vitamin a. Once I upped his minerals with vitamin a he went back to normal and now he's super active. Repaid does have vit a I belive
I use cleaner crews and they do a terrific job, til they all became beetles, I rarely found any dead ones, I just ordered some more and threw them in there. If you're placing an order of feeders it's worth the extra $2- $3 for a 100 or something like that IMO, but again, not everyone uses them...
Yeah it sucks but I don't like vegetables so it's either that or I starve to death lol whenever my gma had animals that they were gonna slaughter I wouldn't eat because I would form a bond with them. Except for a turkey that attacked me several times. I enjoyed those meals lol I remember her...
At work we use a backpack type "mister" that has a lever on the side. Kind of like a back mounted leaf blower if I may. But we changed the nozzle to a squirting one and attached a brush to clean out di water ports. They last about a year and that's sorta heavy usage, we clean about 18 ports 3...
It runs in my family. Back in Nicaragua, my grandparents pretty much had a zoo at the house! They had a deers, 2 toucans, 2 tortoises, multiple macaws and parrots, 2 toed sloths, howler monkeys and a kinkaju. Iguanas and boas are delicatessen over there thou :( along with armadillos. As far as I...
They all farted and made a dubia gas bomb? Lol AZchamfan got me thinking now because I did notice a weird smell on my bin the other day, not foul but somewhat strong. I'm due for a cleaning within the next week's so I'll see exactly how many I have again. I might be overcrowding them again
