My sister used to call me weiner snitzel when I was little… she’d usually shorten it to just weiner  But when my mom would catch her she’d switch to snitz for short!
Nice!! I had done the same but underestimated how tall the wheat / rye grass roots would get. Been meaning to try again. The grasshoppers loved it, especially the babies. Where did you get the feeder cage in the middle?
Nicely done! Someone gave me a tip to drape fabric over the opening...
This should not cause overly runny poops by any means. Thats a perfectly acceptable number of silks. Depending on your chams age and activity you may need to cut back on total feeders at some point to avoid over feeding, but not if still growing.
Sounds gross but can you post a pic of his poops? Hornworms can give them runny poops for sure, silkworms def result in softer poops from my gang but not runny.

Oh they’ll eat dubia, too! I’ve had them eat sub-adult dubia overnight. Makes me a bit hesitant to feed them as larva after seeing that! Good thing the chams tend to chew them up well.
Sadly it’s getting too cold to live outside, but Donnie politely asked for some outside time today. 10 weeks post op… still healing and some scabbing, but he is slowly but surely retracting his vent and improving. Almost out of ointment so I’m going to switch to Silver Sulf soon.
Thank you! He is still healing up - but his vent is looking better by the day. He has been sleepy and slow this week, with little appetite. The past 2 months he has has a lot of good days and a lot of bad days - so I try not to overthink things and just take care of his needs.
I’m not sure what pink slime
Is - can you take a photo? I’ve heard of pink slime but not sure Ive seen it in an enclosure. That being said, I had artillery fungus crop up in soil I purchased from
bio dude, which caused a ton of issues for me. Its not bio dudes fault - the fungus likely stowed...
